• Apples • Salted butter • Sugar • Light brown sugar • Salt • Ground cinnamon • Ground nutmeg • All-purpose flour • Rolled oats • Water
Whisk together the flour, oats, sugar, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Work cold, sliced butter into the mixture with a pastry blender.
Core the apples and slice the top even on each apple.
Stuff the apples with the oatmeal mixture, placing them upright in the slow cooker.
Pour the water into the slow cooker.
Either cook the apples on high for 2-3 hours, or cook the apples on low for 4-5 hours.
Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream!
